Office Policies at DC Dental Legacy
At DC Dental Legacy, we are committed to providing exceptional dental care in a welcoming and professional environment. To ensure the best possible experience for all our patients, we have established the following office policies. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
Appointments
Scheduling
- We offer appointments Monday through Thursday, with select Fridays and Saturdays available.
- To schedule or reschedule an appointment, please call our office at (202) 822-3787 or book online.
Arrival
- Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time for new patients, and 5-10 minutes early for returning patients.
- This allows time for parking, completing necessary paperwork, and any pre-appointment preparations.
Late Arrivals
- If you’re running late, please call our office as soon as possible.
- We’ll do our best to accommodate you, but late arrivals may result in abbreviated appointments or the need to reschedule.
Cancellations and Missed Appointments
- We require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
- Missed appointments or late cancellations may incur a fee of $50.
- Repeated missed appointments may result in the requirement of a deposit for future bookings.
Financial Policies
Insurance
- We accept most major dental insurance plans. Please check our Insurance page for more details.
- As a courtesy, we’ll file insurance claims on your behalf.
- Patients are responsible for knowing their insurance benefits and for any portion of treatment not covered by insurance.
Payment
- Payment is due at the time of service unless prior arrangements have been made.
- We accept cash, checks, and major credit cards.
- Financing options are available through CareCredit for qualified patients.
Treatment Plans
- We provide detailed cost estimates before beginning any treatment.
- Please note that these are estimates and may change if additional treatment is necessary.

Patient Privacy
We adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations to protect your personal and medical information.

Safety and Infection Control
- We follow all CDC and ADA guidelines for sterilization and infection control.
- Our office undergoes regular safety audits to ensure compliance with the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
Children in the Office
- We welcome children as patients and are happy to have them accompany adult patients to appointments.
- For safety reasons, children under 12 must be supervised at all times.
Cell Phone Use
- To maintain a peaceful environment and protect patient privacy, we ask that cell phones be silenced in treatment areas.
- If you need to take a call, please step into the waiting area or outside.
Fragrance-Free Environment
- For the comfort of all patients and staff, please refrain from wearing strong perfumes or colognes to your appointments.
